The Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle excels because of the tremendous support our children receive from JDS parents, faculty and staff and our community. Pledge your support today so JDS can continue to build on a program of excellence! Click here to contribute.
Support academic programming that:
- Embraces 21st century learning that prepares students for today’s global interactive society
- Supports diversity and a commitment to Tikkun Olam (repairing the world)
- Practices environmental stewardship on campus and beyond the classroom walls
Annual Fund: Gifts to the Annual Fund go toward supporting school operations in the current fiscal year. We are asking all parents to support JDS with important unrestricted gifts. Tuition alone does not fully cover the expense of a JDS education—particularly in light of our pursuit of academic excellence that refuses to sit still and a strong commitment to financial aid. As with all independent schools across the country, tuition is kept below actual costs so that the broadest range of families can attend the school. The difference is made up in charitable giving from the wide range of families who attend the school.
Each year volunteers lead the Annual Fund drive to make up the difference between tuition and the actual costs of a JDS education. Every gift, no matter what the size, is significant. If you make only one gift this year to the school, please send it to the Annual Fund. Your pledge or gift eliminates continued solicitations throughout the year.
Your donation to the Annual Fund is 100% Tax Deductible and we are happy to arrange a structured payment arrangement plan that is most convenient for you: monthly installments, credit card payments and/or billing upon your timeline. We just need all funds submitted to the school by June 30, 2013.
Matching Gifts: Ask if your employer will match your donation. Many companies have this option.
How to Give Cash: The most straightforward gifts are tax-deductible gifts of cash to our Annual Fund. These gifts may be given all at one time or on a monthly or quarterly basis. We ask for annual fund gifts and pledges each fall, and gifts and/or pledge payments are accepted at any time during our July 1 to June 30 fiscal year.
Appreciated Assets: Gifts of appreciated assets (such as stock) may, through their tax-advantaged status, allow a donor to make an even greater impact on school programs than would be possible by writing a check. Some of our larger gifts to the annual fund, as well as substantial targeted gifts, come in this form.
